What the role entails

•Supervision of production: overseeing production process milestones, ensuring entire collection development while fulfilling design brief specifications, manufacturing and delivery schedules according to commercial needs and financial requirements
•Expansion of supplier network, reducing reliance on a limited pool of partners and continuously staying up to date on enhanced supplier capabilities and innovations within the hosiery & atlheisure / activewear industries

What are the main operational tasks

•Conduct regular, rolling forecasts of basic “NOS” line products and manage external production across the value chain
•Validate product quality homogeneity and consistency from a technical aspect (including confectioning, measures and fittings)
•Standardize and execute Fogal’s textile research and development strategy, regularly informing the organization at large on supplier capabilities
•Translate seasonal collection briefs, balancing technical requirements with design specifications and cost targets
•Evaluate product prototypes according to technical requirements and wear tests safeguarding the hallmark of the high level of quality in the Fogal portfolio
•Liaise with design team, executive management and third parties ensuring effective communication of relevant information
•Always ensure a cost-conscious approach, balancing production minimums and margins
•Negotiate purchase prices and delivery timelines with external suppliers and production sites
•Lead preparation and clarification of technical documents
•Act as the principal point of contact to internal and external teams for all matters product-related, providing technical support as necessary
•Drive product and production innovation, aiming to optimize processes as well as the development of new products and categories; expand production capabilities to new suppliers

Profil recherché

What we are looking for
 
  • Our ideal candidate will have preferably earned a master’s within an Engineering degree or similar and have gained significant experience within the textile industry (at least 5 years)
  • You are proactive, solution-oriented, multi-tasked and have a strong sense in forecasting, planning and organisation
  • Strong management skills with ability to develop collaborative working relationships both internally and externally, uniting teams and reinforcing a strong team spirit
  • Significant technical skills and strong affinity with the fashion industry, autonomous and results-driven, you will know how to take risks and support the brand in its development and its new projects
  • Attached to the main office, you will be asked to travel abroad on a regular basis and be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in written form (German and/or Italian would be a major plus)
